Land
The properties we steward.
Our portfolio spans working farmland, restored woodland, and historic estate grounds. Each property is managed according to its character and its potential.
Working farmland
We lease fields to local farmers who practice regenerative agriculture — cover cropping, reduced tillage, and rotational grazing. Our leases are long-term and include soil health benchmarks that protect the land's productivity for future generations.
Woodland restoration
Several of our properties include woodlots that were overgrazed or poorly logged in past decades. We are restoring them to native hardwood forest — oak, hickory, maple — through selective thinning, invasive species removal, and controlled burns where appropriate.
Estate grounds
Historic properties with gardens, orchards, and outbuildings that we maintain for their cultural and ecological value. These are not museums; they are working landscapes that continue to evolve.
How we acquire
We do not actively seek properties. When we acquire land, it is typically because a neighbor or local land trust has brought it to our attention. We look for parcels with conservation value, agricultural potential, or historical significance — and the patience to restore them properly.
